BCPS provides case management and reentry services at the Berks County Jail's Community Reentry Center, the PA Department of Correction's Community Corrections Center in Wernersville and to returning citizens on state parole.
Returning citizens on state parole must be referred by their parole officer in order to receive BCPS programming and services.
Reentry Services are provided both pre- and post-release and include:
Workforce Development (i.e., Employment Readiness, Job Placement, Vocational Training)
Assistance securing basic needs

Reentry Programs are funded through the United Way of Berks County, the County of Berks, the PA Department of Corrections, state and federal grants, foundation grants, local church groups and the generous ongoing support of businesses and individuals.
Ready to Reenter Guide
The Ready to Reenter Resource Guide is designed to help connect returning citizens with services in Berks County. It addresses basic needs like employment, identification, and clothing, but also gives the offenders information for probation/parole, domestic relations and other government agencies. BCPS is the founding member of the Berks Community Resources Network (CRN), a group of over 40 non-profit social service and government agencies that work in partnership to reduce recidivism in Berks County. The CRN meets on an ongoing basis to help coordinate reentry efforts and to ensure collaboration among providers in Berks County.
