Reentry Services
BCPS/BerksConnections provides assistance and support for inmates at the Berks County Jail, residents at the Berks County Community Reentry Center and ex-offenders returning to communities in Berks County.
Volunteer Programs for Inmates, Youth and Families
BCPS/Berks Connections Family Connections programs include the Mother's Voice Program that connects incarcerated parents to their children at home, Holiday Gift Drives for families with loved ones in jail, and the FUNdamentals program that provides self-esteem building educational and fun activities for youth detained at the Berks County Youth Center.
Berks Anti-Drug Violence Prevention Program (ADViPP)
Begun as a component of the U.S. Attorney's Office 222 Corridor Ant-Gang Initiative, the ADViPP Program works to reduce gang violence and drugs in Berks County. ADViPP includes prevention (former gang members educating school-aged youth), intervention (intensive case management and counseling for gang members) and enforcement (gang intelligence information sharing). The Program is funded by the Berks County District Attorneys Anti-Drug Fund of the Berks County Community Foundation.
